The investigation into the femicide of Cecilia Strzyzowski has come to an end after 17 months. Prosecutors Jorge Cáceres Olivera, Juan Martín Bogado, and Nelia Velázquez have closed the case file, which consists of more than 8,000 pages and 352 pieces of evidence.
"This delayed the process, as we cannot close the case file without the appropriate legal representation," explained prosecutor Jorge Cáceres. The young woman was murdered, and her ex-partner César Sena is accused as the material author, along with a couple as primary participants.
Additionally, there are individuals involved as accomplices: Gustavo Obregón, Gustavo Melgarejo, Fabiana González, and Griselda Reinoso. Legal representation was a key issue at this stage, as Emerenciano Sena and Marcela Acuña appointed lawyer Juan Ignacio Moreno, which allowed the investigation to be closed.
The draw for the judge for the jury trial will take place between Friday, November 1, and Monday, November 4, at the Jury Trials Office. Although there is no definitive date for the start of the debate, it is expected to take place in mid-2025. This case has shocked Chaco and the entire country, and the requirement to elevate it to trial became final nearly two months ago.
In summary, the investigation into the femicide of Cecilia Strzyzowski has concluded, and the draw for the judge for the jury trial expected in 2025 will proceed.
