The Ministry of National Security is offering a million-dollar reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Sergio Eduardo Giménez, who has been on the run for years after being convicted of aggravated sexual abuse against his children. According to Resolution 88/2026, published in the Official Gazette, the Oral Court in Criminal and Correctional Matters No. 15, led by Adrián Norberto Martin, requested in two official communications, from October and December 2025, that the Ministry of National Security offer a reward to individuals who, having not been involved in the criminal acts, provide useful information that leads to Giménez's arrest. According to the document, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for being the author of the crime of aggravated sexual abuse; simple sexual abuse and repeated carnal access sexual abuse on two occasions, both aggravated by having been committed by an ascendant against a minor under 18, taking advantage of a pre-existing cohabitation situation, all in ideal conjunction with corruption of minors, all against his children. The ruling stated that the abuse against the children occurred in 2005 and 2006. After his sentence became known, according to the Argentine News Agency, he fled, which is why a national and international arrest warrant has been in effect against him since 2015. Following the requests, the security department, led by Alejandra Monteoliva, announced that a reward of $10 million is being offered within Argentine territory for those who, without having participated in the criminal acts, provide useful information that allows for the arrest of the accused. It is confirmed that his last known addresses are on Route N°2, kilometer 24, in the city of Capiatá, or in the village of Villa Rica, both in the Republic of Paraguay.
