Buenos Aires Invests in Road Safety

Buenos Aires province continues to modernize Autovía 6, installing over 2,800 LED luminaries to enhance safety and efficiency on a key regional transport artery.

Buenos Aires Invests in Road Safety

The province continues to invest in road safety on various routes and highways. One of them is Autovía 6, where work continues on its improvement. The new road infrastructure is aimed at strengthening user safety in all its dimensions and optimizing traffic conditions on one of the strategic corridors for the productive development of Buenos Aires province. In this context, as reported by the Argentine News Agency, the tender for the replacement of over 2,800 LED luminaires was approved. They will be installed in different sections along the road, such as: roundabouts, accesses, columns, and control panels. This intervention will improve nighttime visibility, reduce risks, and ensure safer travel for the various types of vehicles that use the highway. Autovía 6 runs through 12 municipalities in the fourth road corridor of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area over 179 kilometers. Autovía 6 plays a fundamental role in regional connectivity, as it forms the fourth ring of the Greater Buenos Aires (AMBA) and connects with national and provincial routes, facilitating the transport of production, logistics, and interurban transit. The incorporation of LED technology not only represents an advance in road safety but also an improvement in energy efficiency and maintenance, to accompany the growth of traffic and strengthen the infrastructure of the Buenos Aires productive corridor.
