Political Consultant Analyzes Milei's Image Boost

Political consultant Jaime Durán Barba highlighted in a recent interview that he believes the image of liberal politician Javier Milei has strengthened following his recent confrontations with former vice president Cristina Kirchner. Durán Barba did not rule out the possibility of working for Kirchner in the future, although he admitted that he would have to reflect on it carefully.

Durán Barba, known for his focus on political communication without committing to ideologies, noted that success in this field also requires management skills, which he considers that Milei is not very interested in. Regarding the current presidential image ten months after the start of the term, he stated that polls from recent weeks indicate that Milei benefited from his recent controversies with Cristina Kirchner.

On the possibility of collaborating with Kirchner in a future campaign, Durán Barba mentioned that his personal limit is not to advise people who have supported coups or sympathized with dictatorial regimes. In this sense, he criticized the Senate vice president, Victoria Villarruel, for her recent visit to Isabel Martínez de Perón, the former president during the last military dictatorship in Argentina.

Durán Barba emphasized his firm position on this by stating: "For example, with Vice Villarruel visiting torturers, I would never work with her. The president's advisors know this and take good advantage of it." He highlighted that Milei's political communication has been effective and praised his strategy in this regard.

The consultant concluded the interview expressing his admiration for Milei's ability in this area: "He is the one who does it best."
