A year after the death of Ricardo Iorio, Vice President Victoria Villarruel remembered the Argentine singer and composer, highlighting the special connection they had for "Argentinian-ness." In an emotional message, Villarruel mentioned that they both shared a love for the Argentine land, despite its pains, and a deep commitment to see it prosper.
"We were united by Argentinian-ness, the Malvinas, the flag, traditions, we were united by the immense pride of being born Argentinians," expressed Villarruel in her publication. She also mentioned how much she misses Iorio's voice and support, assuring that she will always carry him in her heart, just like millions of Argentinians.
In another context, the Senate leader revealed that the previous week she had inaugurated a bust of former president María Estela Martínez de Perón, which previously belonged to the musician.
In memory of Ricardo Iorio, a year after his passing, his legacy and spirit continue to live on in the hearts of those who admired and respected him.
