Six Children in Argentina Test Positive for Cocaine

Six children who tested positive for cocaine during a match in the city of Balcarce, Buenos Aires province, have been identified as victims of abuse. They are expected to give testimony in a special interrogation room (Cámara Gesell). Sources close to the case informed the Argentine News Agency that the two-month-old twins and the other minors are recovering well at the municipal hospital in that city. The victims are in the custody of their two aunts (the mother's sisters) after the father reported that she was supplying them with drugs. Meanwhile, prosecutor Rodolfo Moure will summon the victims in the coming days to testify in Cámara Gesell in a case filed as 'aggravated drug supply to minors, aggravated by the relationship.' The father remains detained in Unit No. 15 Prison in Batán, and the mother is still admitted to the same health center. Doctors detected cocaine in the blood of all the children and marijuana in one of them, while the investigation continues to clarify the facts.
