Buenos Aires, Feb 2 (NA) – A contingent of 17 fire brigadiers from Jujuy traveled to Chubut to assist in fighting the fire affecting Los Alerces National Park, where the fire has already consumed more than 10,000 hectares. Jujuy's Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Leandro Álvarez, accompanied the brigadiers who will work in the Puerto Café area alongside teams from Salta, Tucumán, and Catamarca, as reported by the Argentine News Agency. Álvarez highlighted the service vocation of the Jujuy team and thanked them for the support they will provide in Patagonia. "We are proud of their willingness for this task, where they will surely show their great professionalism," he stated. The brigadiers who traveled are Aldo Altamirano, Eduardo Cuba, Noemí Bejarano, Aylén Cari, Daniela Cruz, Delia Cuevas, Darío Domínguez, Soledad González, Miguel Malatine, Rodrigo Puca, Fabián Ramoa, Horacio Serrano, Jorge Heredia, Catriel Villegas, Paola Zamboni, Silvina Villa, and Roxana León. The team will remain in Chubut for 14 days and will then be replaced by a new group of Jujuy brigadiers who are already preparing to continue support tasks in the affected area.
