Senator for San Juan Sergio Uñac, former governor of that province, wants to position himself in the restructuring of Peronism and sent a letter to the National Justicialist Party (PJ) with proposals to "strengthen and project" the space for the upcoming elections in 2027. From his social networks, the former head of state stated that Argentine society will face an "enormous electoral challenge" next year, added to the "social anguish" that citizens are experiencing in various areas. "We cannot improvise," he added. Uñac stated that the "social and political magnitude" of the electoral calendar requires "early, deep, and collective" preparation and that it cannot be based solely on defining who the candidates will be, but rather on "defining the country's course." For this reason, he stated that the "historical responsibility that characterizes Peronism" demonstrates that it will surely be able to "take on this challenge with strategic vision, a vocation for unity, and commitment" to the future of Argentina. "The most difficult moments in national history have always tested the capacity of Peronism to reinvent itself, reorganize, and again represent the needs, deep aspirations, and dreams of our society. I am convinced that we will be up to the challenge of this," he concluded.
