National Deputy Daniel Arroyo (Union for the Homeland) expressed his opinion on the current situation of the Government, stating that they are "desperate" due to the lack of dollars. Arroyo criticized the call to discuss the DNU on the agreement with the IMF as an act of irresponsibility by the Executive Branch and announced that his party would vote against it, as will the left, while the PRO and La Libertad Avanza will vote in favor. The final decision will depend on sectors of the Radical Party and provincial blocs.
In statements to Radio Splendid, Arroyo, former Minister of Social Development, indicated that the Government seeks to change the agenda and introduce contentious issues in the parliamentary session irresponsibly due to their desperation over the dollar shortage. He expressed concern about the repression that occurred the previous Wednesday in front of Congress and an upcoming planned march in the same location.
The deputy expressed his unease about the Government's perception that part of society supports repressive actions, considering them mistaken and stating that it is necessary to calm the situation. He highlighted the lack of dialogue between the Government and the opposition but urged the construction of new ideas to connect with society, as the relationship between both and society is deteriorated.
