In a gesture of support for the libertarian leader, Trump posted an image of Milei on his Truth Social account, accompanied by the phrase: "If printing money ended poverty, printing diplomas would end stupidity." This statement comes at a challenging time for Milei, who became embroiled in controversy after recommending $LIBRA on the X platform.
Milei's endorsement caused a rapid increase in the value of $LIBRA, reaching $4,978 before plummeting below $1 in less than an hour. Amid this situation, accusations of a possible price manipulation scheme, known as "pump and dump," emerged, although the President's camp denied the existence of hacking.
It is noteworthy that this is not the first time Javier Milei has faced such accusations. In 2022, he was pointed out for promoting CoinX, a company under investigation for alleged financial fraud, which has led to calls for political impeachment against him.
