President Javier Milei, during his participation in the Davos Forum, described feminist ideologies, equity, gender issues, climate change, abortion, and immigration as manifestations of a "cultural subversion." He stated that these issues are part of the same framework that seeks to justify the increasing role of the State. Furthermore, he criticized the so-called "wokism" for its attempt to suppress criticism and dissent.
In his statements, Milei expressed his disagreement with the way feminism addresses certain topics, questioning the legal differentiation between femicide and other types of murder. He also mentioned the absence of protests regarding the high proportion of men in prison, in plumbing jobs, and as victims of war conflicts.
The Argentine president claimed that an international alliance is being formed to combat "woke" ideology, but warned that the fight will not end until this line of thought is completely dismantled. In this sense, he urged a return to liberalism and the recovery of values he considers fundamental for progress.
Milei advocated for the elimination of the so-called "woke" ideology, describing it as a "virus" that must be eradicated. He considered that as long as this current remains present, a "golden age" on a global level will not be achieved. Likewise, he offered his perspective on "woke culture," a term used in far-right contexts to refer to progressivism.
