A video published by a U.S. portal revealed the encounter between Liam Payne and a hotel employee where the singer was staying, who died shortly after falling from the third floor. The security camera footage from the Casa Sur hotel, located in the Palermo neighborhood, shows the artist talking with Ezequiel Pereyra a few hours before his tragic death, under circumstances that are still under investigation.
The video from the TMZ portal shows Payne exiting the elevator in the hotel basement, exchanging a few words and a handshake with Pereyra, who allegedly handed him drugs hidden in a soap box. According to the footage, that encounter occurred at 2:04 PM on October 16, they crossed paths again at 3:45 PM, and around 5 PM the artist died after falling into the void from his room.
So far, three people have been charged in Payne's death, one of whom is Pereyra, while a friend of the singer and a trafficker are also considered suspects.
On the other hand, the results of the toxicological studies (urine, blood, and vitreous humor) revealed that in his last 72 hours, Payne only showed traces of poly-substance use, including alcohol, cocaine, and a prescribed antidepressant.
