The eldest daughter of journalist Jorge Lanata, Bárbara, referred to the conflicts with her father's current wife, Elba Marcovecchio, asserting that neither she nor her sister have any economic interest. Bárbara, who shares the profession of journalist with her father, spoke about the communicator's health, mentioning that he feels tired but happy because the surgeries have gone well.
In the midst of the family turmoil, Lola Lanata's mother, Sara Stewart Brown, attempted to enter the journalist's room unsuccessfully, using the power Lanata had given her when they were married. Bárbara explained that Sara was happy to authorize access to the journalist's room, something that only Elba Marcovecchio could do before. Sara used this power to revoke dismissals and work suspensions, which prompted a response from Lanata's current wife through a formal letter.
All this conflict erupted due to a lack of family communication, according to Bárbara. The lawyer, last Thursday, attacked the journalist's daughters, and in response, Bárbara pointed out that if her father ever said they were going to kill each other 'for money,' that says more about the lawyer than about them, and that they have never spoken about economic issues, but rather questioned actions at a specific moment during Lanata's hospitalization.
In this sense, Bárbara concluded that there are no economic issues at stake and that for them there is no problem if the matter revolves around money.
