On Mother's Day, Viviam Perrone, a member of the "mothers of pain" community, issued a letter to the media expressing her support and solidarity with the protagonists of this celebration. In her statement, Perrone emphasized the everlasting condition of being a mother, even when children are no longer physically present.
In her words, she shared: "A mother never stops being one, not even when she no longer has her children physically by her side. Besides Kevin, who is no longer with me due to a traffic homicide, I have two more children, and whenever I'm asked how many children I have, I always answer that it's three."
Perrone also highlighted the love she provides to the children in her care in foster homes. She emphasized her dedication to supporting judicially involved minors since she was 18 years old. She stressed the importance of supporting these children who long for affection and companionship.
Finally, in the context of Mother's Day, Perrone urged to provide love not only to one's own children but also to those who need support. She encouraged gestures of affection towards those little ones who lack someone to offer them a gift or a hug.
