Father of Injured Photographer Blames Government

Fabián Grillo, the father of Pablo Grillo, a photographer severely injured during the repression of retirees and football fans in Congress, lashed out at the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, and President Javier Milei, whom he accused of being responsible for the situation. In statements in front of the Ramos Mejía Hospital, where his son is in critical condition, Fabián expressed with anger: 'Because of a drunk son of a bitch and a brainless person who talks to a dead dog, who orders killings, my son’s life is in danger.'

The young photographer suffered a severe traumatic brain injury with a loss of brain mass and multiple fractures after being hit by a tear gas canister fired by security forces. Fabián Grillo, visibly affected by the situation, emphasized that his son is 'an activist, but also a photographer' and supported his political commitment, proudly stating that they are a family of activists and that activism is not negative.

The severity of Pablo Grillo's condition persists, with his progress being closely monitored by the medical staff of the Ramos Mejía Hospital. He is hospitalized in critical condition and his life remains at risk due to the injuries sustained during the protest in Congress. The family, along with friends and colleagues, remains awaiting updates on his health status and hopes for his swift recovery.
