Tragic Car Crash Claims Two Lives in Sanabria

Today, in the Cordoban city of Sanabria, a head-on collision occurred between a pickup truck and a car that unfortunately resulted in two fatalities and two people seriously injured who were hospitalized. The accident took place around 1:00 PM on Provincial Route No. 04 heading towards Ausonia, according to the Preventive Patrol of Villa Nueva.

In the place of the incident, a Chevrolet S10 pickup and a Volkswagen Polo car were involved. The pickup, driven by a 59-year-old man, was apparently heading from Sanabria to Ausonia when it crashed head-on with the car carrying three people.

Tragically, the driver and a woman who was a passenger in the Volkswagen Polo, both 30 years old, lost their lives on the spot. On the other hand, a 38-year-old man sitting in the back seat of the same vehicle suffered serious injuries and was transported to Pasteur Hospital. The driver of the pickup also sustained injuries, with a fracture in his left wrist and trauma to his chest, and was taken to a medical center.

The breathalyzer test performed on the pickup driver yielded a result of zero. Scientific Police personnel worked at the accident scene and it was determined that the pickup driver will be charged with involuntary manslaughter and serious bodily harm, under the jurisdiction of the Second Shift Prosecution led by Dr. Gambini.
