The National Meteorological Service (SMN) has issued warnings for heavy rains in different parts of the country, anticipating bad weather for the weekend. In this regard, a yellow alert has been established for the mountains of the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén.
According to the SMN report, persistent and locally intense rains are expected in the areas under yellow alert. Rainfall accumulations are estimated to be between 10 and 25 mm, which could be exceeded in some places on a sporadic basis.
In light of this situation, it is important to take precautions and follow the recommendations of the authorities. It is advised to remove objects that may obstruct water drainage, stay away from coastal and riverbank areas, and remain informed through official channels.
Additionally, it is recommended to prepare an emergency backpack with a flashlight, radio, important documents, and a phone. It is also advisable to avoid outdoor activities and refrain from taking out the trash during these episodes of heavy rain.
