Today's strike has impacted the transportation systems of Argentina, affecting those who usually travel by trains, subways, and planes. The economic losses generated by this strike are estimated to be around 150 million dollars, according to the Ministry of Transportation.
Franco Mogetta, Secretary of Transportation of the Nation, criticized the union leaders responsible for the measure, claiming they are leaving workers stranded and unable to go to work to earn a living. Mogetta pointed out that this strike does not respond to a legitimate demand, but rather has political motivations, labeling it a boycott against the State due to the economic impact it generates.
In statements to La NaciĆ³n +, Mogetta expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation, describing the strike as an obsolete action promoted by union leaders who, instead of looking out for the workers, harm them by preventing them from attending their daily jobs to support themselves. The minister also mentioned Hugo Moyano's involvement in organizing the measure and linked this protest to a climate of anachronistic protests, detached from the current reality of the country.
Mogetta concluded by highlighting the contrast between the actions of those who are pushing for the strike and the progress that, in his opinion, Argentina is experiencing: 'While all of this is happening, there is also Argentina that is taking off.'
