The Central Bank acquires US$ 70 million

Today, the Central Bank maintained its buying trend by acquiring US$ 70 million in the Unique and Free Exchange Market (MULC). With this operation, the entity's reserves closed at US$ 29.368 billion, exceeding the figure from last Friday by US$ 206 million.

The demand for foreign currency from whitewashed accounts significantly surpassed that required by importers, resulting in a decline in prices across all market segments. In terms of quotes, the Cash with Settlement dollar finished at $ 1,159, down 0.55%, while the MEP dollar stood at $ 1,132, with a decrease of 0.90%. These values were above the quote of the "blue" dollar, which closed at $ 1,220, down 0.40%.

Additionally, the Central Bank continued its strategy of "micro-devaluations," applying a variation of 0.05%. Thus, the value of the dollar at the National Bank was set at $ 1,008, while the tourist dollar reached $ 1,612.80.
