The critical situation that many municipalities in the center and west of Buenos Aires province continue to face due to floods has prompted the national government to extend the agricultural emergency for these productive zones. Through Resolution 1974/2025 from the Ministry of Economy, published today in the Official Gazette, two provincial decrees were ratified, declaring a state of emergency. This extension will be in effect from September 1st to February 28th, 2026. The recommendation was formalized during the meeting of the National Commission for Agricultural Emergencies and Disasters (CNEyDA) on November 20th, where a technical analysis of the climatic phenomenon and its impact on the agricultural sector was conducted, motivating the province's request for an agricultural emergency and/or disaster declaration. In this regard, Provincial Decree No. 2779, dated November 8th, 2025, was ratified, which extends the state of Emergency and/or Agricultural Disaster due to flooding for the districts II, III, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII and XIII of the partido of Veinticinco de Mayo; and for districts III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX of the partido of Saladillo. Similarly, Provincial Decree No. 2780, dated November 8th, 2025, was ratified, which declares a state of emergency and/or agricultural disaster also due to flooding, for districts V, VI and VII of the partido of Bragado; for districts IV, V and VI of the partido of Veinticinco de Mayo; II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIV and XV of the partido of Lincoln; I and II of the partido of Saladillo; I, II, III, IV, V, VI and VII of the partido of General Belgrano; X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII, XIX, XX and XXI of the partido of Azul; II, III, IV, V, VI and VII of the partido of Pila; VI of the partido of Bolívar. On the other hand, the National Service of Health and Food Quality (Senasa) today declared a health alert in the departments of Gastre, Telsen, Cushamen, Languineo, Paso de Indios, Mártires and Gaiman – all in Chubut province – with the aim of containing emerging foci of sheep scab in the province and preventing its spread to disease-free regions. The measure, formalized in Resolution 939/2025 published today in the Official Gazette, establishes that all surveillance, prevention, control and eradication tasks for this parasitosis (caused by the mite Psoroptes ovis) must be adopted and/or strengthened, due to an increase in recorded foci in the province in recent years.
