According to a private study, the staffing of the national public administration, companies, and societies recorded a reduction of 58,903 positions between December 2023 and October 2025. In October 2025, the total staffing was 282,570 positions, compared to the 341,473 recorded in December 2023. This decrease represents a variation of 17.2% in the analyzed period. Other entities with significant reductions include CONICET (-1,958 positions), Banco de la Nación Argentina (-1,951), and Aerolíneas Argentinas S.A. (-1,914). The reduction was constant in all months, with staffing falling compared to the previous month, according to the work received by the Argentine News Agency. The reduction impacted the national public administration, as well as state-owned companies and societies. Of the total decrease, companies and societies represented 34%, the decentralized administration 33%, and the centralized administration 26%. The National Public Administration (including centralized, decentralized, and decentralized areas) reduced its staff by 38,675 positions, equivalent to 16.7%. The data on the staffing of the national public administration were prepared by economist Nadin Argañaraz based on information provided by INDEC. The centralized administration is the one with the highest number of reduced positions, with 15,519 positions. This is followed by companies and bodies such as Correo Oficial de la República Argentina S.A. with 5,114 fewer positions and Operadora Ferroviaria S.E.
