Argentina's Ministry of Economy, through the Secretariat of Finance and the Secretariat of the Treasury, has officially formalized the expansion of the issuance of the "BONCAP T30E6" Treasury bond by up to 100,000 million pesos in nominal value. This measure will allow for a conversion operation with the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), as established in Joint Resolution 59/2025. The decision is framed within the current financial and budgetary regulations and aims to exchange BCRA holdings of "LECAP S28N5" and "LELINK D28N5" securities for new instruments, BONCAP T30E6 and LELINK D16E6. The resolution states that the prices of the involved instruments will be determined on November 13, 2025, based on market values on the screens of the Buenos Aires and Markets Argentina (BYMA) exchange before 1:30 PM on the same day, with settlement in 24 hours. The operation's settlement will be on November 14. The official text specifies that the conversion formula for calculating the number of bonds and letters to be received by the BCRA is based on the original nominal value and price in pesos of each instrument, rounding results to multiples of the new titles' minimum denomination. Furthermore, the measure authorizes officials from the National Credit Office and related areas of public debt management to sign the necessary documentation, and it takes effect from the date of its issuance. With this expansion, the government aims to optimize the management of the Treasury's obligations in coordination with the BCRA, in line with the limits and procedures set forth in the Budget and complementary legislation.
