The 82-year-old retiree was found criminally liable for the crime of aggravated negligent homicide in conjunction with serious negligent injuries, both aggravated by running a red light. Molina appeared at the abbreviated trial under house arrest and was monitored with an electronic ankle bracelet, while Judge Dolores Ramón imposed visits from direct family members, who must be informed on a list. The judge also disqualified the octogenarian from driving for a period of 10 years. She was driving a Volkswagen UP and admitted her responsibility for the events. The elderly woman must serve her sentence of four years and six months in her home.
