As time passed, it was confirmed that the victim was Silvia Susana Rodríguez, 75 years old, and the main accused, who were detained, are Juan Ramírez and Noelia Valeria. Both were charged with homicide criminis causa, meaning they killed Rodríguez to hide another crime that, according to the prosecutor, is linked to a robbery, as both lived with the victim, sources familiar with the case confirmed to the Argentine News Agency. The prosecutor's office clarified that Ramírez was known to the victim as he is the son of the woman's former partner, who has since passed away, while regarding Valeria, they reported that she is the current partner of the detainee. Nevertheless, as the hours went by, more information emerged about Ramírez and his various appearances before the Justice system in recent years for several crimes. In 2019, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison for the death of his 5-month-old baby, who agonized for 12 days. On that occasion, he was accused of the crime of negligent homicide. Likewise, it was confirmed that the man had been a partner of Rita De Cassia, who was a victim of a drag in the Los Ciruelos ditch in December and has not yet been found. In this case, the prosecutor's office determined that Ramírez testified in that case as a witness and expressed having maintained such a relationship with the affected person. To his list of records, convictions for false testimony in June 2025, simple robbery in February 2024, and simple theft in December 2023 are added. This past weekend, Prosecutor Claudia Ríos took over the investigation following the discovery of a woman murdered in her home in the El Challao locality, in Las Heras.
