The State Workers Association (ATE) has called for a national strike on next Thursday, the 27th, which will include "surprise mobilizations" in Buenos Aires and protests throughout the country. This action aims to stop a cuts that, according to the union, are damaging both the social and productive fabric, according to statements from the General Secretary, Rodolfo Aguiar.
ATE is requesting the reopening of salary negotiations and the immediate initiation of a process to recover salaries. Additionally, they reject the merger and closure of public agencies, demanding the reinstatement of illegally dismissed employees. Aguiar emphasized that they are going through difficult times and that they will continue to face these situations.
As part of this mobilization, the ATE delegation in Mendoza will hold an Assembly of Delegates and Congress members of the 15 Health Regimen on Thursday, February 27 at 9:30 am at the central headquarters of the union in the City. During this meeting, the actions to be taken will be defined, which may include measures of force in workplaces, assemblies, mobilizations, or peaceful presence at government events.
The union is urging the "continuity of all links that expire on February 28 and March 31", emphasizing the importance of maintaining job stability. In this sense, they are preparing to face a period of struggle in defense of workers' rights and against the austerity policies affecting the country.
