
The Government of Mendoza, led by Alfredo Cornejo, has started the public bidding for the purchase of 3,000 level RB3 bulletproof vests intended for the Police and the Provincial Penitentiary Service. The total budget for this acquisition amounts to $3,152,160,000.
The distribution includes the delivery of 2,500 bulletproof vests for the Mendoza Police and 500 vests for the Provincial Penitentiary Service. The measure was officialized through Decree No. 105, signed by Governor Cornejo and the Minister of Security and Justice, Mercedes Rus.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Security and Justice, the objective of this investment is to renew worn-out equipment, provide greater protection to the agents, and support the growth of the police and penitentiary force.
The bidding process will be carried out under Law No. 8706 and its regulatory decree No. 1000/15, and will be supervised by the Logistics Directorate of the Ministry of Security and Justice. This measure aims to ensure transparency and efficiency in the acquisition of the bulletproof vests.
In a statement, the Ministry of Security and Justice emphasized that the purchase of these 3,000 level RB3 bulletproof vests is essential to strengthen the security of the agents who day by day fulfill the protection of the citizens in Mendoza.
