The Ministry of Environment of the Province of Buenos Aires issued a series of urgent recommendations this morning for the population in areas near the explosion in Ezeiza, due to the "presence of smoke" and a possible toxic cloud. According to Noticias Argentinas, the agency asked residents to "stay indoors, keeping doors and windows closed". While technical and emergency teams continue to work, the Environment Ministry detailed specific preventive measures: "Turn off air conditioners and fans that take in outside air". "Cover your nose and mouth with a damp cloth if you cannot take shelter immediately". The ministry also provided a contact number in case of poisoning symptoms. "Avoid circulating in the affected area and do not approach to take photos or videos". If you are in a public place, "move quickly in the opposite direction of the smoke". In case of "cough, burning eyes or throat, headache, or difficulty breathing", one should call the provincial toxicology center (0800-222-9911). Finally, they asked to "follow only official information" and assured they are "monitoring the situation in coordination with local authorities".
