The Organizing Committee is urgently demanding from the provincial government authorization for schools to be used for workshops and accommodation, just days before the start of the Plurinational Meeting. The Organizing Committee of the 38th Plurinational Meeting of Lesbians, Trans, Bisexual, Intersex, and Non-Binary Women is demanding confirmation on the use of schools for workshops and accommodation, a commitment that—according to their complaints—Governor Gustavo Valdés himself had made and is now ignoring. “The Meeting begins this weekend and we urgently need that confirmation,” stated the organization, which held a demonstration at the Government House and then at the Ministry of Education, located at La Rioja 663, to request an immediate resolution. The lack of authorization puts at risk the planned logistics for receiving the approximately 70,000 people who will arrive on November 22, 23, and 24, in Corrientes to participate in the historic plurinational event. From the Committee, they asked the media to help spread the word about the situation due to the urgency and the proximity of the event's start.
