A Venezuelan citizen with a homicide record and alleged links to the criminal organization 'Tren de Aragua' was arrested in Corrientes while attempting to illegally cross into Paraguay, as part of reinforced migration and border controls. According to the Ministry of Security, the operation was carried out by personnel from the Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) and was initiated based on information provided by Interpol Venezuela. The information indicated that the man had a criminal record and tattoos with symbolism associated with that transnational organization. The detainee had entered Argentina irregularly six days ago through an unauthorized border crossing. He remains in custody while the National Directorate of Migrations advances the process of his expulsion from the country. 'Argentina is not a refuge for criminals,' stated the Ministry of Security in a communiqué accessed by the Argentine News Agency.
