Corrientes Court Sentences Family to 30 Years for Double Homicide

Today, the Oral Criminal Court of Corrientes sentenced three members of one family to 30 years in prison for the homicides of Lucas Romero and Mauricio Rodríguez, perpetrated in the Santa Teresita neighborhood of this city in 2024. The individuals are Alejandro Alarcón, alias 'Osito', Jonathan Alarcón, and Verónica Elizabeth González, all co-authors of the crime of 'simple homicide'. Meanwhile, Matías Ramón Alarcón—a fourth family member—was declared innocent due to insufficient evidence. Additionally, Noticias Argentinas agency reported that the three convicted were held responsible for minor injuries to Federico Alberto González and Víctor Daniel Romero. The court also resolved to reject the house arrest requested for the three convicts and maintain pre-trial detention until the sentence becomes final.
