In the vicinity of the Alberdi neighborhood club, a strong confrontation occurred between factions of the Belgrano fans before the match against Platense. The police intervened by firing rubber bullets and using pepper spray. During the altercation, a police officer was injured and several parked vehicles in the area were hit by bullets. Additionally, some nearby homes also suffered damage.
The confrontation happened shortly before the start of the match, so many people witnessed the violence between the factions and had to take shelter to avoid being injured. It was reported that the detained man was involved in the tragic riot at the former Penitentiary of the San Martín neighborhood in Córdoba in 2005, which left eight dead and several injured.
This is not the first time that such situations have been recorded in Alberdi. Throughout the year, there have been several confrontations that have resulted in arrests and trials for those accused. On this occasion, the detention of a couple who attempted to enter the stadium wearing a vest from the National Ministry of Security was added to the confrontation.
The only person arrested during the confrontation in Alberdi was a 42-year-old man who was shooting with a .38 caliber revolver. To avoid his capture, a group of people threw stones at the police officers. The patrol transporting the detained individual was damaged, with dents on the hood and the right rear door.
A first sergeant suffered a bruise on his right elbow and had to be transferred to the Provincial Polyclinic. During the search, two boxes of wine, a bottle of soda, and a Belgrano flag were found in the detainee's backpacks. Four cell phones, a vest, and a cap with inscriptions from the National Ministry of Security were also confiscated.
