A young man was detained in the province of Córdoba on charges of possessing and distributing material of child sexual abuse (MASI). The investigation began after reports were made of publications on Discord where the user was offering to sell content of this kind. The Prosecutor's Office for the Investigation of Crimes against Sexual Integrity, led by Juan Ávila Echenique, ordered a raid on a home in the Ampliación General Artigas neighborhood following a report from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). The report stated that a Discord user was offering MASI content. In response to this alert, as reported by the Argentine News Agency, digital tracking and analysis protocols were activated, which made it possible to identify the suspect and his address. Thus, on Wednesday, the Córdoba Police, in collaboration with judicial authorities, carried out the operation in which a 20-year-old young man was arrested and elements of great importance to the investigation were seized. The man is accused of the crime of child sexual abuse with the use and distribution of pornography involving minors.
