Murder of 46-Year-Old Man in La Matanza

A 46-year-old man lost his life in the Laferrere neighborhood, in the Buenos Aires party of La Matanza, after being attacked by two criminals who stole his motorcycle. The tragic event took place last Friday at the corner of Calderón de la Barca, near Route 3.

The criminals, who were riding another motorcycle, shot the victim in the chest when he tried to resist the theft of his blue Motomel Cirus 250. An eyewitness alerted the authorities upon finding the injured man on the ground, but unfortunately, when the police arrived and took him to the Néstor Kirchner hospital, he had already died.

According to the judicial investigations conducted so far, the victim stopped his movement and abandoned his vehicle before attempting to escape, at which point one of the assailants shot him fatally in the chest. Prosecutor Matías Folino, from the Homicide Thematic Prosecutor's Office of La Matanza, was present at the scene to supervise the forensic work and requested a review of nearby security cameras from the police to clarify the tragic event and the escape route of the attackers.

After an exhaustive investigation, security forces were able to find the abandoned motorcycle at kilometer 29 of Route 3 and a hanging arm in the direction of Virrey del Pino. It is still unknown whether the motorcycle was left there due to a mechanical failure or if the criminals discarded it during their flight.
