Argentina Detains 61 Brazilian Citizens

The Argentine judicial authority has issued an order for the arrest of 61 Brazilian nationals located in Argentina. They are suspected of participating in an international network for drug and arms trafficking.

According to the relevant law enforcement agencies, those detained formed an organized crime group engaged in the illegal trade of drugs and arms between Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. The group utilized various logistics connections for transporting prohibited substances across borders.

The operation to detain members of the criminal group was conducted jointly with the special services of Brazil and Argentina. The suspects have been placed under custody and are awaiting extradition requests based on the charges of trafficking.

As of today, the investigation continues, and law enforcement agencies do not rule out the possibility of detaining several more participants of the criminal network.
