National deputy of the Unión Cívica Radical (UCR), Martín Tetaz, mentioned in an interview on Radio Rivadavia that the coalition Juntos por el Cambio no longer exists at the national level. Tetaz pointed out that the PRO, led by Mauricio Macri, currently presents an "identity" problem and suggested that the party is headed toward a merger with La Libertad Avanza in the elections next year.
In 2019, Juntos por el Cambio emerged as the name of the Cambiemos alliance, formed by the PRO, the UCR, the Coalición Cívica, and other parties. However, Tetaz highlighted that the open support of figures like Macri and Patricia Bullrich for President Javier Milei in the runoff against Sergio Massa last year severely affected the cohesion of the space.
Despite this situation, Tetaz clarified that Juntos por el Cambio will continue to exist at the local level in places where it currently has representation. In this sense, he mentioned that the coalition will continue to operate as an electoral space on a municipal scale, although it has lost its validity at the national level.
