Debate on Educational Budget in Argentina

De Loredo celebrated on his social media the defense of the future of education and scientific development in the country. Aside from internal criticisms for his approach to President Javier Milei, he faced questioning from former ally Ferraro, a prominent figure in La Coalición Cívica. The latter accused him of adopting Milei's stance for political convenience.

In a strong message, Ferraro urged De Loredo to end what he deemed a political farce. He expressed his dissatisfaction with a supposed agreement to maintain educational funding in the 2025 Budget, pointing out that investments in education have been declining year after year.

The deputy of the Coalición Cívica highlighted data from the Observatory of Argentinians for Education, revealing a decrease in the allocation of national funds for education. Moreover, he mentioned that the Science and Technology Law earmarks 1% of the budget for research and innovation.

Ferraro criticized De Loredo's visit to Casa Rosada, stating that the photo from the meeting to discuss the educational budget was merely symbolic. He invited the radical leader to participate in a meeting of the Budget and Finance Committee to demand answers about priority educational policies, the appropriations to be modified, and their funding. He wanted the discussion to go beyond a mere visual representation.
