Uncertainty Regarding the AFIP Reform

José Ignacio Simonella, president of the Argentine Federation of Professional Councils (FACPCE), expressed his concern regarding the lack of detailed information provided by the Government about the dissolution of the AFIP. In a statement, Simonella emphasized that this situation generates uncertainty and makes it difficult to assess the impact that the transition will have on the work of advisors, on taxpayers, and on tax collection.

The president of FACPCE also expressed concern about the possibility of an increase in operational difficulties during this reform process, mentioning intermittent disruptions in the AFIP's digital services for VAT that affected both taxpayers and the professionals advising them.

Simonella requested the Government to prioritize the continuity of services and the stability of the IT systems during the reform. He highlighted the importance of establishing effective communication channels so that all involved can access the necessary information and raise their concerns. In this context, the leader emphasized the need for concrete details regarding the timelines, mechanisms, and scope of the reform in order to formulate a definitive opinion on the matter.
