Justice in Salta is investigating the death of a prisoner who died in a police station after a fight between inmates. The man was being held on charges of sexual abuse and suffered a medical emergency. The First Criminal Prosecutor's Office of Anta, prosecutor María Celeste García Pisacic, who is on leave, is investigating an incident that occurred a few days ago in the Salta city of Joaquín V. González. In the context of an incident between inmates at the First Police Station of that locality, a 52-year-old man suffered a medical emergency. As a result of the situation, the man was taken alive to the local hospital, where he received medical attention, but he died an hour later. This is detailed in the writing of the Provincial Public Prosecutor's Office to which the Argentine News Agency had access. Within the framework of the investigation, the Prosecutor ordered the documentation of the scene by personnel of Criminalistics, the reception of testimonies, the seizure of elements of interest, and all necessary measures to clarify what happened. Likewise, the transfer of the body to the city of Salta was ordered for the autopsy to be carried out by the Forensic Thanatology Service.
