Justice has advanced with new procedures in prisons in the province of Buenos Aires against the alleged leader of a grooming network, who already has a prior case for similar acts. According to an investigation by the Argentine News Agency, the case exposes how cybercrime, extortion, and child sexual abuse continue to be committed from within prisons. According to the UFIJ NÂș 8 of Berazategui, led by prosecutor Ernesto Daniel Ichazo and Dr. Bianca Grivetto, raids were carried out in two Buenos Aires prisons as part of a new case. The operation included searches in the cells of inmates housed in the Sierra Chica Prison and the Merlo Prison. Through fake profiles on the social network Instagram, they contacted minors under the pretext of offering them modeling jobs. The deception then led to a serious extortion situation: victims were convinced to send images and subsequently forced to perform sexual acts in video calls under threats to distribute the intimate material among family and friends.
