Argentine President Javier Milei is on an international trip to Switzerland, where he is attending the World Economic Forum in Davos. As part of his visit, he will also participate in the signing ceremony for the founding act of the Peace Council, an initiative promoted by U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at fostering efforts to pacify the Gaza Strip. According to information obtained by the agency, Milei will attend the formalization of the Peace Council next Thursday as part of his participation in the World Economic Forum in the Swiss city of Davos. The president arrived in Switzerland on Monday evening, and his visit will conclude on Thursday when he returns to Buenos Aires. During the week, the president will give a series of interviews to international economic media outlets, such as Bloomberg and The Economist, in an attempt to reinforce the economic message of his management before global markets. Milei will also meet with executives of major global banks and the CEO of the World Economic Forum, Børge Brende. The presence of the Argentine leader at this event reinforces the political alignment with the U.S. Republican administration and its support for multilateral initiatives related to international security. Milei's business trip to Davos began with a nighttime meeting with British businessman Maurice Ostro, with whom he has had previous ties within international forums. On Wednesday, the president will hold a protocol greeting with the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin. His trip will conclude upon his return to Buenos Aires on Friday morning.

"President Milei is expected to speak after the U.S. president's address, although a formal bilateral meeting between the two has not yet been confirmed," a delegation source reports.

The delegation accompanying the head of state is composed of the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo; the Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation, Federico Sturzenegger; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pablo Quirno; and the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei.
