The ElPRO party harshly criticized the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, for joining Libertad Avanza (LLA), stating that with this decision the official leaves behind her entire reputation. The leadership of PRO, led by Mauricio Macri, expressed this regarding Bullrich's shift to the libertarian ranks of Javier Milei.
"In a sense, once elected, they cease to be completely free, because they acquire a responsibility that has no expiration date," added the party, highlighting that Bullrich was elected representing PRO and received over 6 million votes in the 2023 elections. It was emphasized that the leader has supported the government that shared ideas with her party since then.
Bullrich, who has had an extensive political career that includes having militated in Montoneros in her youth, being a deputy during the Menem era, creating Unión por Todos, and being part of the Alliance government, announced today her affiliation with LLA. PRO regretted this decision, stating that the minister leaves behind an important part, if not all, of her reputation by turning her back on those who voted for her and believed in her.
The statement from the party led by Macri is titled "Reputation," thus highlighting the rejection generated by Bullrich's incorporation into the libertarian group. PRO expressed that leaders reach their positions representing the ideas and will of those who trust them, thus marking their discontent with Bullrich's departure to LLA. After her time in Fernando De La Ría's administration and her electoral alliance with the Civic Coalition in 2011, Bullrich joined PRO.
