UTA Protests for Salary Increase Amid National Strike

The Union of Automotive Tramway Workers (UTA) issued a statement during the national strike of drivers seeking a salary readjustment. The text highlighted a controversy with the secretary Gabriel Gusso, whom the union "disregards" as part of its structure.

Gusso, a representative of the Green Group of UTA, defended the transport workers and requested the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, to intervene in order to meet the demand for a salary of two and a half million pesos. At the same time, drivers from lines 148 and 60 carried out a demonstration at Puente Saavedra in support of the strike and the national salary demand.

In statements to the media, the union led by Roberto Fernández urged the media to obtain information through official channels. They emphasized that they do not share the opinions or public comments of Gusso as they consider him not a member of the union organization. They highlighted the importance of seriousness and responsibility in union action across the country, rejecting the secretary's statements.

The UTA emphasized the need to conduct negotiations and union actions in a transparent and respectful manner, always seeking the benefit of the workers in the transport sector.
