Buenos Aires, Jan 28 (NA) – A 33-year-old man was arrested in the province of Jujuy for allegedly setting fire to his ex-partner's house. According to Noticias Argentinas agency, based on information from the Ministry of Public Accusation, the incident occurred on Friday, January 16, when the suspect entered the victim's home, set the place on fire, and then fled to the Alto Verde settlement. In this context, the presiding judge ordered that a search be carried out to effect the relevant arrest, for which officers from the Division of Captures conducted raids in various places in the area. During the early morning of this Wednesday, the fugitive was arrested and is now at the disposal of the Justice. The provincial ministry requested before the Office of Judicial Management, specialized in gender violence, that an accusatory hearing be convened, through which prosecutor María Emilia Curten Haquim will request preventive detention.
