The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) issued a statement expressing its rejection of the acts of violence that occurred near the National Congress. In this statement, the entity emphasized that the vandalistic incidents deserve immediate and strong condemnation.
The CAC pointed out that, while political debates can be intense, it is unacceptable to resort to physical violence as a way to impose ideas. The entity expressed its concern about the escalation of violence and highlighted that it is inadmissible for a minority to seek to impose its positions by force, harming people and property, and disturbing public order.
Furthermore, the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services highlighted that Argentinians are going through difficult times, with tragedies like those that happened in Bahía Blanca and its surroundings. In this context, the entity found the sterile confrontations especially repulsive as they divert attention from serious situations and irreparable losses.
In the statement, the CAC emphasized the importance of respecting democracy and civility, rejecting any form of violence that threatens integrity and peaceful coexistence. The entity underlined that citizens and political parties have the right to express their opinions and dissent peacefully, thereby contributing to the democratic debate in society.
