Larreta Criticizes PRO's Current Direction

The former head of the Buenos Aires government and upcoming candidate in the mid-term legislative elections, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, expressed his disappointment with the current direction of the PRO, stating that the party has lost its identity. In a television interview, Larreta indicated that the PRO was created with a strong focus on the public management of the City, but is currently supporting a president who disregards the public, which pains him since he dedicated a lot of energy to the party.

Larreta noted that he has turned to psychoanalysis to face this new political stage and demanded accountability for the attacks received, especially from Milei. He criticized the PRO's closeness to La Libertad Avanza, thus distancing himself from Mauricio Macri's leadership. He expressed his bewilderment at the contradictions in the party's positions, such as supporting the presidential veto after advocating for retirees.

Regarding his future candidacy, he assured that he will continue to defend the interests of the City, regardless of the position he holds. Larreta stated that the current situation has led him to reflect and adopt a constructive self-critical perspective regarding the party's direction and his role in it.
