National deputy of the PRO, Silvia Lospennato, stated in an interview that belonging to a political party is a personal choice and that no one is obligated to be part of a specific space. She emphasized that they believe in the values of the PRO and consider that the party has much to contribute to Argentina, as they identify it as a republican, liberal party inclined towards economic reforms.
In the context of the situation where several leaders of the PRO have left the party to join La Libertad Avanza (LLA), former president Mauricio Macri met with the executive board of the PRO. During the meeting, Senator Alfredo De Angeli was appointed as president of the PRO block in the Senate, following the resignation of Luis Juez. Additionally, the possibility of an alliance with LLA was discussed due to the departure of several leaders to that party.
Silvia Lospennato mentioned that it is important to protect institutions, constitutionalism, and seek better justice; however, she pointed out that the departure of certain leaders from the PRO was not a topic of conversation during the executive board meeting. This gathering took place at the PRO party headquarters on Balcarce 412 and was attended by Jorge Macri, the governor of Chubut, Ignacio Torres, the mayor of Vicente López, Soledad Martínez, and national deputies Diego Santilli and María Eugenia Vidal.
In this context, Lospennato expressed that it is essential for people to be where they feel comfortable and that respect for individual decision-making is crucial in the political sphere.
