The National Meteorological Service (SMN) has issued a yellow alert for storms for this Friday, affecting much of the province of Buenos Aires, while areas of Córdoba and Santa Fe are under an orange alert due to more severe phenomena. According to reports accessed by the Argentine News Agency, storms will begin in the morning in southern Buenos Aires and extend to the center and north of the province in the afternoon. In Córdoba and Santa Fe, the heaviest rains are expected for the afternoon and night. Additionally, this Friday are under alert the mountainous region of Neuquén and the provinces of La Pampa, Mendoza, San Juan, San Luis, Catamarca, and Entre Ríos. Alert for rain and hail. According to the official bulletin, these phenomena will be accompanied by heavy rainfall in short periods, frequent electrical activity, occasional hail, and wind gusts that can exceed 80 kilometers per hour. Furthermore, precipitation values between 30 and 60 millimeters are forecast, which could be exceeded in specific areas, increasing the risk of temporary flooding. In this situation, the SMN recommends: avoid going out; do not take out the trash and clean drains and sewers; disconnect appliances and cut off the electricity supply if water enters; close and stay away from doors and windows; remove or secure objects that could be blown away by the wind; if you are outdoors, seek immediate shelter in a building, house, or enclosed vehicle. The population is advised to stay informed through the SMN's official channels and follow the instructions of local authorities.
