The National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) prohibited the use, marketing, distribution, and advertising throughout the country and on e-commerce platforms of household water conditioning devices and replacement filters from unlicensed brands. The products belong to the following brands: Bonnie Flag, Eagle Coolers, and Blue Star. The measure came into effect through Resolution No. 889/2026 after it was verified that the mentioned products do not have the corresponding sanitary registration, as reported by the Argentine News Agency. The ANMAT communiqué states that the companies responsible for importing these devices lack authorization, and therefore, the manufacturing and safety conditions of the products are unknown. Furthermore, their sale through digital platforms violates current regulations, posing risks to users of this equipment. In this way, ANMAT ordered the prohibition of these products and initiated health investigations against the firms Blue Star Group and Blue Class S.R.L.

ANMAT has banned the use and sale of water filtration systems and filters from brands Bonnie Flag, Eagle Coolers, and Blue Star due to their lack of required permits, citing health risks to consumers.
