Buenos Aires, March 2 (NA) – A man was sentenced to eight years in prison for sexually abusing his stepdaughter in the province of Salta. The perpetrator committed the attacks when the girl was between 8 and 11 years old, which is why the victim's father filed the complaint, according to information from the local Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF). The minor confirmed the facts during her testimony via Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and stated that she suffered the abuse when her mother was at work. Through an abbreviated trial, the defense, the Sexual Integrity Crimes Unit (UDIS), and the prosecution agreed to the sentence of eight years of effective prison time. The defendant was declared guilty of the crime of aggravated sexual abuse due to the duration and circumstances, aggravated by the guardianship and cohabitation with a minor, in real conjunction, with co-perpetration.
