Young man arrested in Achiras for repeated thefts

A 26-year-old young man was arrested for the third time in a few days in the town of Achiras, south of Córdoba. He was captured by neighbors who restrained him at a corner and tied him to a street pole while waiting for the Police. At the time of his arrest, he was carrying items that had been reported stolen from a store moments earlier.

This young man had already been apprehended and taken to Río Cuarto the previous weekend but was later released. Neighbors reported that the individual often entered businesses, threatened employees, and mainly stole alcoholic beverages. Alerted by the previous thefts, they decided to take matters into their own hands when they saw him again in town.

Local Police reported that the detainee has mental health issues, which led to the application of a special protocol designed for these cases.
